The Pearl Shell is a privately owned resthouse in the village of Onomaru, Butaritari Island. FACILITIES: up to eight people can be accomodated in three comfortable houses, each with electricity and running water. There are two shower rooms and toilets, and a seperate dining room and kitchen where fine local foods are prepared. Three main meals are provided, as well as tea, coffee and refreshments available throughout the day.
THE ISLAND: for those in search of adventure and magic, tours can be arranged to sights such as the King's Well, the Maneaba of the Death, the Lady Stone, Tikurere islet for a night under the stars, and villages along the island.
