Rarotonga is the main island which makes up the 15 beautiful islands of the Cook Islands. An idyllic tropical island surrounded by reef that shelters the lagoon, with many varieties of tropical fish and turquoise water that laps against the white sandy beaches - this is paradise!

We pride ourselves on our cleanliness. Our premises are maintained daily to ensure a comfortable atmosphere for our guests.

SELF CONTAINED BUNGALOWS: Three bungalows with own bathroom and kitchen facilities and private sun deck overlooking ocean.

BEACHFRONT STUDIO UNITS: Sleeps up to 4, kitchen/bathroom, balcony overlooking the lagoon, ceiling fan, insect screens.

BEACH HUT: with ensuite, fridge, toaster, kettle, ceiling fan, insect screens.

BEACH HOUSE: We have a beach house for rent, with two double rooms, on the lagoon near our main complex. The house has it's own fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry and phone (local calls are free), TV / DVD, 600 metres up beach from main complex.

BEACH BACH: Directly behind our beach house, this 1 bedroom, self contained house is only 25 metres from the water. Includes fans, kitchen, fridge, bathroom, living area, TV/DVD, phone and washing machine.

ENSUITE ROOMS: Double or triple rooms with own bathroom facilities.

DORMITORY ROOMS: Comfortable and clean dormitory rooms with shared facilities.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped large open-plan cooking facilities.

BATHROOMS: Unlimited hot water showers (gas heated). Plenty of showers and toilets.

LIVING AREAS: Large, fresh open plan flowing out onto deck featuring a transparent section of roof for our stargazers. TV, DVD, board games, pool table and books.

SWIMMING POOLS: At both our hillside and beachfront complexes. At our hillside complex, you can lounge around the pool surrounded by multi-level sundecks with ocean views, or relax by the pool just metres from the lagoon at our beachfront complex.

Sunrise Beach self contained bungalows and family units offer quality and location at an affordable price, with a choice of both ocean front and garden settings. Recently we have added thatched rooves in traditional kikau [coconut fronds] for that authentic Pacific Island feel. Sunrise Beach caters for both the independent traveller and families who want to get away from it all and relax in comfort. We are located down a long drive so there is no road noise. There is a handy shop at the top of driveway and restaurants, shops, vehicle rentals are all close by.

Our swimming pool is set in the garden surrounded by lawn and colourful shrubs, guests can relax on the outside furniture/loungers and at the end of a busy day exploring Rarotonga cook up some fresh fish on one of our 2 barbeques. The pool is 1.8 metres deep.

The Sunrise also provides complimentary snorkeling gear and a laundry on-site for our guests. We can provide you with all the information you will need for a wonderful holiday on Rarotonga.

WEDDING VENUE AND PACKAGE available cafe available for wedding venue right on the beach with accommodation. FREE wedding coordinator to help organise EVERYTHING ! Accomodation on site sleeps up to 35 comfortably.

Welcome to Rarotonga (Cook Islands) and to Aroanui Cottages. "Aroa" means love/caring and "nui" means a lot/big.

Aroanui Cottages is a group of three two-bedroom, modern, self-contained and recently built cottages located in Arorangi on the Western side.

The cottages are not on the beach but it is only a short 3-minutes walk to the main road then straight across to the beach. Excellent swimming can be enjoyed in the area or just relax on the warm, white sands at dusk and watch the ever-changing hues of a tropical sunset.

Each cottage sleeps four adults comfortably but the three together will accommodate groups of up to 12 people. This is perfect for people coming to Rarotonga for weddings, birthdays, family reunions or simply just to have a good holiday - everyone can be together and yet have their own space.
