The 8 chalets are traditional and very colourful designed, but to meet your needs upgraded to comfortable and affordable accommodation.

The 8 chalets are all equipped with; a queen-size bed or 2 single beds next to each other (with mosquito net), small table and chairs, toilet and washing basin. The standard chalets have a communial shower under the stars, the luxury chalets have a shower en-suite.

The rooms all have running water, light and electricity facilities.

The chalets can be booked as a single or double room.

The chalets, reception and shower units border a tranquil (peaceful, lovely) garden.

This atmosphere of contentment is made complete with a splendid cross -cultural mix of Euro-Afro cuisine, prepared with a contemporary flair by expert chefs and served either indoors or al fresco on the poolside deck.

This shady poolside deck area offers a good relaxation area, overlooking the lawns with refreshments always available.

In addition the fully equipped function room offers an ideal venue for conferences and meetings.

The Chalets are fully self-contained and include air-conditioning, spacious lounge with T.V. (digital satellite) kitchenette with fridge and veranda overlooking the lawns.


- Camping - Close to nature

Drive in, cycle in, walk in ...however you come here ...just pitch your tent and feel at home.

Our huge and spacious campground is a much appreciated ''home'' for many individual travellers visiting the area as well as overland adventure companies.
Choose a spot towards the river, watching the sun come up. Alternatively, pick a place under or between some of the trees - there's plenty around.
Big vehicles are no problem. Park under one of the big trees at the river and keep your vehicle in the shade all day long!

If you are unequipped, we have a special offer. Stay in one of our pre-erected tents. They have two beds, chairs and a table, power (!), and even a small covered veranda!

Naturally we have a very clean ablution block, plus laundry basins, volleyball court, and a large swimming pool..

The Camp is located on Pom Pom Island in a private concession situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta and on the head waters of the Xudum river system. The area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve and offers superb Okavango scenery and a true Okavango wilderness experience.

The main building is attractively designed and constructed of thatch and canvas and comprises lounge, dining, bar and pool areas, as well as a gift shop and the boma area. The swimming pool is situated close to the main lodge and the bar, making a perfect location to enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the heat of the day.

Accommodation consists of nine luxury safari tents in true traditional safari style, all with full en-suite semi open ablution facilities. Eight en-suite safari tents with overlooking views of the PomPom lagoon. The tents are uniquely positioned under the shade of the surrounding trees.

Pom Pom is one of the camps in the Okavango Delta that is able to offer game drives within our private concession area. Morning and evening game drives in the company of our qualified guides will give you the opportunity to view all the big game and night life of this environment.

A mokoro trip is a fantastic way to experience the wonders of the Okavango Delta. In the company of a professional poler with vast experience of the Delta, you will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of this unique habitat and learn about the waterways and wildlife.

Fishing is also possible at Pom Pom, and our guides will be happy to take you to their secret spots to try for Pike and a variety of Bream species.

Welcome to African Horseback Safaris. Our horse riding safaris are based at Macatoo Camp, situated on the western side of the Okavango Delta. Covering 17,000 km sq, the Okavango is the largest inland delta in the world, a mix of labyrinth channels, palm fringed islands and fertile floodplains. Trapped in the parched sands of the Kalahari desert, it is a magnet for the wildlife who depend on the delta's life giving waters. More than 400 species of resident and migrant birds, lions, elephant, hyenas, wild dog, buffalo, hippo and crocodiles congregate with a variety of antelope and smaller animals - warthog, mongoose, genets, monkeys and bushbabies to name a few - the ultimate landscape for a horse safari adventure...

The camp features large, walk-in, twin bedded tents, each with their own en-suite shower and loo. Centrally there is a large furnished mess tent and tucked away a private pool. On the longer safaris guests have the opportunity to experience the thrill of riding out to a mobile fly-camp. There is a daily laundry service except at fly-camp...

We spend 4 to 6-hours a day in the saddle with groups of no more than 7 guests. You will need to feel confident about keeping up with the group, capable of riding at all paces; rising to the trot and controlling your horse at the canter. You may be required to gallop out of trouble, so we can not take beginners. Riders should be aged12 years and over and anyone over 60 needs to be riding fit and strong. There is a maximum weight limit of 15 stone, 210lbs or 95kgs. Over this, you will need to enquire, but only if you are an advanced rider. It will be at the discretion of the company whether novice riders will be permitted to ride, taking into consideration their safety and enjoyment and that of the group as a whole.
